I NO LONGER… (THIS IS A POWERFUL READ! Tag/Share someone who needs to read this.)

“I no longer have patience for certain things, not because I’ve become arrogant, but simply because I reached a point in my life where I do not want to waste more time with what displeases me or hurts me.

I have no patience for cynicism, excessive criticism and demands of any nature.

I lost the will to please those who do not like me, to love those who do not love me and to smile at those who do not want to smile at me.

I no longer spend a single minute on those who lie or want to manipulate.

I decided not to coexist anymore with pretense, hypocrisy, dishonesty and cheap praise.

I do not tolerate selective erudition nor academic arrogance.

I do not adjust either to popular gossiping.

I hate conflict and comparisons. I believe in a world of opposites and that’s why I avoid people with rigid and inflexible personalities.

In friendship I dislike the lack of loyalty and betrayal.

I do not get along with those who do not know how to give a compliment or a word of encouragement.

Exaggerations bore me and I have difficulty accepting those who do not like animals.

And on top of everything I have no patience for anyone who does not deserve my patience.” – Meryl Streep

I’m sorry I’m gonna go left field on this one, you cannot possibly control the things that life offers you, not people you work with, who on the road with you or even family. Patients is a virtue and without it you just a loose cannon. I flow with respect even if it not deserve because you never say never to the situation that arrives in your life

And this is left if her response? Just a little confused.. She is stating what she feels in life.. No need to go left or right of that. She is right where she feels she needs to be.. Nice sentiment though.

Hello. I enjoyed reading what Meryl Streep had to say (above). While I can understand where Pedro’s coming from and agree with him that one cannot control a certain number of things in life, like others…LOL, I also find that Ms Streep is NOT advocating such control.

I believe she’s placing her control over that for which she has the power (the right?) to control:
herself, her mind, her reactions, her feelings, who she associates with (and why!), and the list could go on.

And when she states: “…/…And on top of everything I have no patience for anyone who does not deserve my patience.” …I read that she’s already been patient and has seen no results in according any more patience to those who drain her well being. I’ve been there and I hear her!
So, as far as I’m concerned, it takes one hell of a patient person to know when they’ve been wasting their patience. So they let go, and move on. Why not? There can be no harm in extricating yourself from such situations. Albeit, you may miss a lesson here and thee by leaving; but then again, maybe it was THAT lesson which needed to be learned…LOL.
Have a nice day folks ❤
