On Stopping

Extract from:
The Sign Said Stop

The sign said STOP.
I didn’t.
So I said to the judge…

1.    “I feel that everyone has the right to choose their own interpretation of this word.”
2.    “My father never stopped. If I stopped, I would be condemning him.”

3.    “My family has always refused to stop. If it was good enough for them, then it is good enough for me.”

4.    “I have gone so long without stopping. I just don’t think I can start now.”
