Emanita On What We CAN Do

Today, the following quote in a FB post inspired me.

“We can never judge the lives of others, because each person knows only their own pain and renunciation.” Paulo Coelho

While this may be true, it lead me elsewhere:

But we can try to understand another’s pain,
and we can try to lessen another’s burdens.
And if we cannot do either,
we can simply offer another a consoling shoulder
to lay their weary head upon and
the embrace of friendly arms
to ground  them while they put
in place the pieces of their fractured souls.
