Mushroom, a poem inspired by recent events

Mushroom

Look,
a
mushroom’s
ash greyness
smothers the blue sky.

It rises menacingly higher;
doesn’t block the sun, yet no hope does this inspire.

For among its particles of grey amasses man-made evil.  Molecules hidden

from our eye’s view,  this invisible enemy enters …frightening minds… freezing souls.

Seeping into…polluting…killing…  all living things.

From a science once applauded…
Now, freed… in our air.

No  time  to
berate
too
late.

@Jo: Hey, thanks for stopping by and glad you liked this one. It’s not a form that I’m used to. My muse’s hand here.

  3. If this is an example, then I’d say your muse will not lead you wrong. Follow it, for there is wonder in where it takes you.

Hey, John, thanks for visiting and for your feedback.

I really like my muse(s)…have a multitude, some speak Spanish, others French or Italian…LOL.

We spend the most amazing times together ;-D

Oh, and by the way, the shape of this poem is for something as well.
Turning it up to the left I see a richter magnitude scale; turn it up to the right and I see a …mushroom.
      Crazy, I know. C’est moi !

You were right about the shaping of this dear lady. Adds another dimension to things doesn’t it. Though even without the shape it it powerful. 🙂
